The story of WyeNet Radio didn’t begin in a corporate boardroom—it started behind a DJ booth. In 2006, our founder Julian Hammond was a well-known mobile DJ in Ross-on-Wye, bringing the party to venues across the region.
The spark for the station came from a single, heartfelt moment: when one of Julian’s lifelong fans was unable to attend a live gig, Julian refused to let them miss out. He set up a Shoutcast radio stream so they could tune in live from home.
"We started with a single stream for a single fan, and we carry that personal touch into everything we broadcast today."
— Julian Hammond, Founder
Our Journey
2006
Founded in Ross-on-Wye as a way to bridge the gap between the dance floor and the home listener.
The Evolution
What began as a live stream for a few fans grew into a dedicated community hub for music lovers.
The Ethos
We believe music is better shared. Whether in the Wye Valley or global, you're part of the family.
Why Tune In?
At WyeNet Radio, we haven’t forgotten our roots. We bring that same "mobile DJ energy"—the ability to read a room and play exactly what you need to hear—to the digital airwaves. We are dedicated to keeping the music playing, wherever you are.
